HOMETOWN Association

Since February 2022, we have been helping Ukrainian refugees and facilitating their adaptation in the Czech Republic. Our goal is to support those who need it most and ensure their integration into Czech society.

We are Czech and Ukrainian lawyers and doctors with successful experience of integration and work in the Czech Republic. That is why many refugees turn to us. Our understanding of the needs of Ukrainians and our knowledge of the Ukrainian language guarantee that we will always provide you with the necessary advice and guidance.

OUR TEAM

Darya Kalmykova – in the Czech Republic since 2006, a lawyer with 18 years of experience in dealing with government agencies and private entities of the Czech Republic, project manager of support to Ukrainians.

Vira Koutnikova – in the Czech Republic since 2014, dentist, specialist with many years of experience
in the integration of foreigners into Czech society.

Viktoria Bocharova – in the Czech Republic since 2022, a lawyer with over 20 years of professional experience, a certified specialist in intercultural work with foreigners.

The project “Support for the Integration of Temporary Protection Holders in the ORP Zlín IV” is implemented from 1 January to 30 July 2026 with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the City of Zlín.

The project “Integrace Plus – Uherské Hradiště” is implemented from 2 June to 31 December 2026 with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the City of Uherské Hradiště.

Project "Together towards integration"

ntegration is not just information. Above all, it is about people, relationships, and the feeling of being part of society.

We are happy to announce the launch of the project “Together Towards Integration,” which we are implementing as a partner of Charita Česká republika (Caritas Czech Republic). The goal of the project is to help people with a migration background better orient themselves in life in the Czech Republic, to support their independence and integration into society, and to create a safe space for meetings, personal development, and mutual support.

In the Zlín Region, as part of the project, we will be organizing free activities for children, youth, and adults:

Community and integration programs for children, teenagers, and youth
Meetings for women and families
Psychological support and individual consultations
Information counseling and help navigating the Czech system
Interpreting and accompaniment to government offices, schools, and medical facilities
Help with recognition of education (nostrification), job searching, and professional development
Community, cultural, and integration activities that promote building new relationships and active participation in life in the Czech Republic.

The first activities are already successfully underway, and we are truly happy about every new participant. We believe that together we will create an environment where people feel welcome, make new friends, and gain valuable experience and the support they need.
